Rhythms.

The top 3 illustrations are based off a personal project; ‘Rhythms’, an animation exploring the different rhythms in life. They are titled (left to right) 'Watering Thoughts', 'Giving, Receiving' and 'Seasons'. Attached to each illustration is a looping animation, which people engaged with using an augmented reality app. Merging the two fields of illustration and animation is an effective way to engage people’s imagination and add an element of surprise. It was a joy to see people's reactions to the 'magic' of seeing the still image come to life on their phone.

Augmented reality has so much potential and can be used for a range of different projects; from picturebooks to information boards in a museum.
